NYC Eats: The Meatball Shop

If you live in New York City you’ve probably been to the The Meatball Shop. If not, you’ve definitely heard of it. The Meatball Shop serves up exactly what you would expect… Balls!

I’ll keep this quick… The Meatball Shop is a must try for anyone who lives in or is visiting New York City. While there, I highly recommend getting your choice balls in the classic tomato sauce with a side of freshly-milled polenta.

The Meatball Shop offers simple, delicious food at an extremely affordable price.

Side note: the West Village location (and probably the others, although I can’t confirm) will take your cell phone number and text you when your table is ready so you can enjoy drinks at a neighboring bar. This is something all restaurants should do!

Be sure to ask about the daily drink and food specials, which change regularly and are different at each location.

The Meatball Shop has several locations around New York City, including the original at 84 Stanton Street in the Lower East Side, 200 Ninth Avenue in Chelsea, 64 Greenwich Street in the West Village and 170 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. Owners, Mike and Dan, also just open their fifth location at 1462 Second Avenue in The Upper East Side.
